Out of the blue
Jeff Weesner
It was wonderful to have a comment from Carolyn Schrock, a long lost relative and wonderful pastel artist. Her landscapes are beautiful.
Of course the real fun is that my youngest son, Ryan, asked me about the relative who commented on our farm page. I didn't know. He read to me. Being read to is something I always enjoy - love really.
I may or may not have met her before. Living in the South, I relish the Michigan family reunions, funerals and weddings and vacations. Interesting how you can meet people for the first time or first time in 20 years and realize how familiar they are. I'm home. Laughs, accents, stories and a unique sense of humor.
Women hug, men shake hands and put hands on shoulders -- they know I'm someone's son.
Carolyn's scenes are familiar and wonderful and at home. Someday, I'd like to have similar paintings -- how I envision Weesner Meadow as it ages.
